Huge portions and absolutely delicious! This is the grilled chicken plate. Friendly staff. Clean spot. Would definitely come back!

we came at exactly 1 o’clock we were the only ones in there. we ordered and waited 2 hours for our food . extremely understaffed and slow. Some people cancelled their order in our party. we didn’t receive our drinks we ordered she just came and passed out waters. 2 of us asked for fruit punch and everyone else ordered soda. Never got it . Working at a restaurant employees shouldn’t be coming out in the front right next to the door to smoke cigarettes in customers eye view it’s a little unprofessional when dealing with peoples food. wouldn’t recommend unless they get at least 6 more people in the kitchen some servers and somebody in the front to help run food and drinks instead of just one person. the yams were too sweet and the chicken had no seasoning.

Visited on a Saturday night 11/15 and decided to try out 2 food spots called The Original Soul Food Cafe and The Real Drum Roll. The cashiers/hostess for both spots gave 5 star service and was very informative and very helpful with the menu! From the soulful menu I ordered a fried shrimp basket and added a piece of fried catfish, all were hot & flavorful. My cousin ordered from the drum roll menu and ordered honey garlic wings ( so good and cooked to perfection) jerk egg roll and the apple dessert roll. We then decided to visit the lounge/ bar area which still had happy hour going. I must say all of our cocktails and fruity flavored shots were delicious, the waitress was super nice. The hookah bar was empty however they have a lot of flavor options and the waitress was very attentive throughout. I would visit again.

It's such a nice atmosphere here and the staff is nice. I can't tell you enough how much I LOVE the all natural smoothies here!! Talk about amazing!! I tried the banana nut bread smoothie ( & it tasted just like that!!) !! The smoothies are very reasonably priced and you get a lot in your cup!! They are so flavorful! I've also tried many of the all natural juices that they have! What makes it even greater is the food that they serve now. Y'all they have the oxtail sandwich using coco bread. It was dressed wonderfully and tasted amazing! I had it with the perfectly cooked sweet potato fries! Update* I went again and tried the fried fish on Coco bread and it was pretty good! I had it with the home cut fries which was okay, just kind of soggy. I was a little disappointed with the oxtail sandwich this time around. My sister ordered it and it was not the same as when I first had it. Be prepared to wait for your food and it most likely will not all be brought out at the same time as those at your table. That's a downside to it. I also tried the fruit roll up smoothie which was really good!
